Focus Area

Merced Building Healthy Communities covers a large geographic area that includes three unincorporated communities-Planada, Le Grand, and the Beachwood/Franklin neighborhood north of Highway 99. South Merced is part of the incorporated focus area of Merced City, between N. Bear Creek and Dickinson Ferry Road to the south. Approximately 58,772 people live in the Merced place. 57% of them speak a language other than English as their primary language.

Our goal is to impact all systems and all communities in Merced County. By using a place-based approach starting with South Merced, and the 3 unincorporated areas listed above; we hope to improve the lives and communities of people in All Merced County.
