Tyrone Hill: City should for work at youth center

Re “Nonprofits get keys to youth center” (Page A1, Oct. 27): According to the Sun-Star, the McNamara Park Youth Center is opening again, and we believe it’s a great opportunity to do good for the community. We want to see it grow into a fun place for youth to hang out. Youth are going to be using the center. If we’re going to rely on volunteers to run these programs that might present problems. If volunteers aren’t given incentives, they might stop coming. We should value them for what they have and what they’re going to provide for youth. The service they give needs to be valued so that youth aren’t let down again by adults.
